Visiting Sensō-ji in Asakusa, Tokyo, after passing the famous Kaminarimon gate, at the end of the Nakamise-dori, the second gate of the temple is Hozōmon, the "Treasure-house gate".

The gate's name is directly connected to its role, because on the second floor it houses very important, national treasure sutra scrolls. While preserving its traditional architecture, the today construction was designed to be earthquake and fire resistant, being rebuilt in 1964 from steel-reinforced concrete, with the roof later rebuilt of titanium.
