Muza-chan's Gate to Japan

Takoyaki Mascot

Sun, January 23, 2011, by Muza-chan
Just like the name says, the main ingredient for takoyaki (fried octopus) is the octopus: either diced tentacles or whole small octopuses.
So, it's only natural that many takoyaki food stalls and restaurants have as mascots cute, kawaii octopuses... Usually, the mascots are also wearing a hachimaki (traditional Japanese bandanna), a symbol of perseverance, like this yatai shop from Kumagaya, Saitama.
