Tokyo Midtown Christmas lights

I was writing a week ago about the history of the Christmas lights. Continuing the story, during the 1960's, due to the economic boom in Japan, the celebration of Christmas became a mass phenomenon. Consequently, especially in the commercial areas, the decorated Christmas tree gradually came to be the usual adornment during this time of the year.

Today, many urban areas are decorated with spectacular Christmas lights, like this alley with trees clad in LED lights, around Tokyo Midtown (where there's also a spectacular Starlight Garden)...
