Tokyo Nishi-Shinjuku viewed from Sunshine City

One of the best places to admire the compact group of skyscrapers in Nishi-Shinjuku is the observatory of the Sunshine City tower in Ikebukuro.

Nishi-Shinjuku was and remains one of the representative places for Tokyo.The first real skyscraper in Tokyo, the Keio Plaza Inter-Continental, was erected in Nishi-Shinjuku in 1971. The last skyscraper built here was in 2008, Mode Gakuen Cocoon Tower.
