Muza-chan's Gate to Japan

Tokyo Tower, Travel Tip

Thu, May 12, 2011, by Muza-chan
We all enjoy Tokyo Tower for the great landscape views from its two observatories. But there are several other attractions to enjoy. In the Foot Town, the 4 storied building located right under the tower, there is a Wax Museum, galleries, shops and restaurants.
I have to admit that, besides the shops, I didn't spend much time inside the Foot Town. What I enjoyed was the roof, where there is a children amusement park. Here, right between the feet of the tower, you get quite a view of the Tokyo Tower's steel lace...

Travel Tip: On the roof of the Foot Town you will find the starting point for the outer staircase that goes up to the Main Observatory, 150 meters above! There are 660 steps and access is allowed only on Sundays and legal holidays (and only on good weather). But if you climb right up to the Observatory, you'll get an official Noppon Recognition Certificate...
