I like a lot all kinds of boiled or grilled corn on the cob, but my favorite is the Japanese version: yaki tomorokoshi ("roasted corn"), corn on the cob grilled, brushed with a soy based sauce.

Often sold at mobile stalls (yatai) during fairs and festivals, yaki tomorokoshi is prepared on the spot. It usually takes a few minutes, while you can enjoy the delicious and mouth-watering smell of corn seasoned with soy sauce:
