National Treasures of Japan, Matsue Castle tenshu and tsukeyagura

Tue, June 13, 2017

Among the 12 original Japanese castles, only 5 have structures declared as National Treasures of Japan. One of them is the Matsue castle, with its the main tower (tenshu) and connected yagura (tsukeyagura) being a perfect example of Japanese castle built at the beginning of the Edo period.
