Blooming Sakura at Heian Shrine

One of the best places in Japan to admire the Shidarezakura ("Weeping cherry tree") variety is the Kyoto Heian Jingu shrine and its gardens. I especially love how its intense pink flowers are harmonizing with the colors of the shrine buildings…
