Kyoto Station Daikaidan Winter Illumination

Daikaidan (meaning “Grand Stairway") is an impressive, 171 steps stairway which connects the 4th floor of the Kyoto Station to the open air garden on the 15th floor, a very popular place both for locals and visitors.

This time of the year, the steps are decorated with 15,000 LED lights, displaying a dazzling light and sound show…
