Rows of vermilion Shinto torii gates, positioned very close to each other and creating virtual tunnels, can be found at important Inari shrines, the most famous of them being the Fushimi Inari Taisha in Kyoto. Each of these gates is a donation from the worshipers of Inari, the Shinto patron of businesses.

However, there are also other types of shrines featuring such attractive structures. One of the most beautiful of them is this spectacular torii tunnel of the Hie Shrine in Tokyo, which is dedicated to Oyamakui-no-kami, the god of Mount Hie.
