Matsuyama Castle renovation works

Wed, March 23, 2016

Although the main tower is the only structure that is still in its original form, the Matsuyama castle is today one of the most complete Japanese castles.

The reconstruction process begun in 1966 and since then the walls, the gates and the yagura turrets were completely rebuilt and, as you can see in this photo, the work continues to this day, with the renovation of the reconstructed structures.
