Tokyo Sky Tree's traditional color

Tokyo Sky Tree, the most modern structure in Japan, incorporates some elements specific to the Japanese traditional architecture, such as the traditional earthquake resistant design Shimbashira-Seishin ("center column vibration control"), used in the old times for the tall, five storied wooden pagodas.

Its color also has traditional roots: it is an original shade called SKYTREE White that was inspired by aijiro, the lightest shade of Japanese traditional indigo blue…
