Visiting Tokyo, Odaiba and Fuji Television Building

Built by the Tokugawa Shogunate at the end of the Edo period, the Daiba complex of artificial islands remained almost unused until the beginning of 1990s.

After the Rainbow Bridge was inaugurated in 1993, the area became a development hotspot and several important companies started building futuristic constructions. One of them was Fuji TV, which in 1997 moved its headquarters to this impressive building. Designed by Kenzo Tange, the Fuji Television Building is still today one of the Odaiba symbols…
