Besides the Mount Fuji, the cherry blossoms (sakura) are the most often used motifs in the Japanese painting. These painted fusuma, decorating one of the most beautiful rooms of the Kobuntei house in Mito, are among the most beautiful traditional sakura representations I have seen until now…
