Visiting Kyoto, Tenryu-ji Temple

One of the most pleasant experiences I had in Kyoto was at the Tenryu-ji Temple from Arashiyama. Usually, the visitors are allowed to admire the gardens from the engawa (the veranda facing the garden), but Tenryu-ji is one of the few temples where visitors are allowed to stay right inside the hall. So, you can stay inside the Drawing Hall (Shoin) and relax while admiring a perfect garden…
