Hakone Shrine Torii at Moto-Hakone

1200 tears ago, a yamabushi (Japanese mountain hermit) named Mangan established the Hakone Shrine, dedicated to a group of kami named Hakone Gongen.
The shrine is located near the shores of the Lake Ashi, hidden in a dense cedar forest. Its presence is marked by 3 huge torii gates, one on the shores of Lake Ashii and two more in Moto-Hakone. Pictured here is the first one, seen from the middle of the lake:
