How they clean the Mode Gakuen Cocoon Tower

Thu, August 27, 2009

The owners of the Mode Gakuen Tower wanted it to be a round building.
But a cocoon-shaped building, with aluminum bars and entirely covered with blue glass is not easy to clean.

The cleaning workers are sitting on a special platform, suspended from a crane located on top of the building.

The platform is designed so that it matches the architecture perfectly.

It’s hard work but, at least while the weather is fine, the workers enjoy a great view. :)
