Umi Jigoku orange colored pond

Sun, February 17, 2019

There are two hot water ponds, but of different colors at the Umi Jigoku in Beppu. One of them is cobalt blue and the other is burnt orange, photographed here.
Long steam whirls are rising from the colored water, justifying the Umi Jigoku ("Sea of Hell") name.
