Hachiman-zaka Slope

Fri, January 4, 2019

Among the 19 sloping streets (called zaka in Japanese) descending from Mount Hakodate to the Hakodate Bay, the most beatiful is the Hachiman-zaka. It is renowned for the view offered and the best moment to admire it is before the sunset, when the city beyond the bay is lit in warm light.
