Uchihashi-tei tea house

Mon, February 12, 2018

The landscape of the Kenroku-en garden in Kanazawa suffered many changes during its history. In the beginning the garden was made around the Hisago-ike pond, but after the addition of the Kasumiga-ike pond, the tea house in this photo was moved here. Called Uchihashi-tei, this 250 years old wooden structure built on pillars is today one of the garden’s attractions.
