The Hie Jinja shrine in Tokyo was reconstructed on its current location in 1659, after the old shrine burned in a fire. Next to it was also built an Inari shrine, featuring the specific red torii gates.
This Inari shrine was the only one that survived the Warld War II bombings, and was declared a cultural asset of the Chiyoda-ku city, together with the row of torii gates, the most beautiful of its kind in Tokyo.
