Built during the Edo Period, the Korakuen garden in Okayama suffered great damage two times during the history, from flooding in 1934 and from the bombings of the WWII.
However, a few constructions escaped damage. That’s the case of the Renchi-ken rest house, photographed here, which survived in its original form until today, together with the nearby stone bridge.
