The Senso-ji temple in Asakusa is the oldest temple in Tokyo, but since it was bombed at the end of the WWII, almost all its buildings are new.
However, there’s one notable exception, Rokkakudo, the small hexagonal hall in today’s photo. Built in 1618, it is a valuable architectural masterpiece, as a hexagonal shaped Buddhist temple building is very rare.
