Edo style traditional street, Honmachi

Sun, April 12, 2015

The Bikan Historical Quarter is the main attraction of the historical city of Kurashiki… And if you’re in Kurashiki and you would like to explore more Edo style traditional areas, be sure to go visit Honmachi, an old merchants and artisans quarter.

It’s a street lined with traditional storehouses (kura in Japanese) restored now as restaurants, coffee shops, art galleries and gift shops… A lovely place which you will surely enjoy!
