Kuidaore, Japanese food exuberance

A well known Japanese saying says Kyo no Kidaore, Osaka no Kuidaore, “People from Kyoto ruin themselves by spending on clothing, people from Osaka ruin themselves by spending on food".

Kuidaore can be translated as “to get broke by eating” and it may be an exaggeration, but if you visit Dotonbori, Osaka’s gastronomic town, you will surely get the idea… A large neighborhood, filled with lots and lots of restaurants, all tempting you with appetizing dishes like as in this photo…
