Established in 1681, the Gokoku-ji Temple from Bunkyo is one of the very few places in Tokyo which have been preserved in their original form. 
There is a lot of sightseeing to be done here and I already wrote about the Gokoku-ji Kannon-do and about the Daibutsu. 
This time, I’m presenting you the Furo-mon Gate (Ageless Gate), the second gate of the temple. Being located uphill, its design is a little bit different from similar gates. It is a true architectural jewel, beautiful and sober:
