Established 32 years ago and reorganized 18 years later as it looks today, the Boso no Mura Open Air Museum in Chiba is a fascinating, living museum where the visitors can learn various craftsmanships.
Photographed here is a street from the Boso region as it looked at the end of the Edo period, lined by merchant houses, kura storehouses, shops and a fire lookout tower.
