Muza-chan's Gate to Japan

Himeji Koko-en Lord's House Garden

Sat, May 4, 2019, by Muza-chan
The Koko-en garden is located close to the Himeji castle, on the site of a former samurai han school (hankō) of the Himeji domain. In fact, Koko-en is a complex of nine Japanese traditional gardens, the largest of them being the "Lord's House Garden" (Oyasiki-no-niwa), a promenade style garden with a pond shaped to evoke the Seto Inland Sea.
