However, inside the hall there are two more great statues, with a comparable height, placed behind and on the sides of the Daibutsu. One of them represents Kannon Bosatsu (Avalokiteśvara Bodhisattva) and the other (in the photo) represents Kokuzo Bosatsu (Ākāśagarbha Bodhisattva), one of the eight great bodhisattvas, the Bodhisattva of Wisdom and Memory.
