Muza-chan's Gate to Japan

Nakatsu castle moat

Tue, June 19, 2018, by Muza-chan
Nakatsu castle was named one of the 3 mizujiro "castles on the sea" (together with Imabari and Takamatsu), because it was built close to the shores of the Seto Inland Sea, and the surrounding moats were filled with sea water.

Today, the reconstructed Nakatsu castle was built a bit more inland, but the moat water still comes from the sea.
