Hakone Red Bridge

The great torii from Lake Ashi is one of the main attractions of Hakone, but I noticed that of all the tourists coming to admire the torii, only a few know that it is worth diverting from the path to explore the cedar forest.
If you follow the path that starts at the foot of the great torii towards East, you’ll soon find a small vermilion arched bridge…
The first time when I visited Hakone, it was almost unreal to discover this red jewel in the lush green of the trees:
