Benten-do, Night Illumination

One of the best known temples dedicated to Benzaiten, the goddess of knowledge, art and music, is located in Tokyo, Ueno Park.
The Benten-do Temple was built at the beginning of the 17th century, on an artificial island in the Shinobazu pond. Originally, the only way to go to the temple was by boat, but later a stoned bridge was built. The original building was destroyed during the World War II and was reconstructed in 1958.
I especially like the two-storied octagonal shaped halls, after sunset, when the night illumination starts:
