Bitchu Matsuyama Castle impressive walls

The Bitchū Matsuyama castle is the only surviving mountain castle (yamashiro) in Japan, and at the same time is the castle with the highest elevation above the sea level (430 meters).

Built on rocky mountainside, it was heavily fortified by using the terrain advantage, with tall and massive walls that still impress today…
