Many towers were erected in Japan during the 80s and 90s to celebrate certain events or records. The Chiba Port Tower was built in 1986 to celebrate the population of the Chiba Prefecture exceeding 5 million people.
With a height of 125 meters, the glass covered Chiba Port Tower is a very narrow rhomboid section, having just 15 meters per side. An impressive structure that adds to the cityscape some beautiful sky reflections.
