Defining images of Japan, Akihabara "Electric Town"

A large percentage of the foreign tourists visiting or willing to visit Japan are attracted by the Japanese pop culture, especially by the otaku manga-anime phenomenon.

For them, the obvious destination is Akihabara, the “Electric Town", a world famous Tokyo shopping district for manga, anime, games and computer goods. A truly distinctive place, that due to its unique atmosphere is definitely worth a visit, even if you have nothing in common with the said pop culture…
