Each time in Akihabara or Remember Radio Kaikan

Fri, March 29, 2013, by Muza-chan

Knowing that in a few days I will travel to Japan again, a friend asked me if there’s a pattern in my traveling and if there are places I always visit…

On each trip, I try to include about 80% new destinations, the rest being places where I want to return. And there are, indeed, a few places I always visit: one of them is Akihabara, the “Electric Town”, which I visited and photographed on my every trip. Since 2007, I have hundreds of photos with my favorite buildings, each time with other billboards…

But Akihabara is a very dynamic place: here, even large buildings are being demolished, like the Radio Kaikan - the rainbow-colored building in the middle of this old photo - the first Akihabara store I visited and a place I have fond memories of.
