Favorite Japan places - Toshougu Shrine Ueno

Mon, June 1, 2009, by Muza-chan

I visited the Toshougu Shrine from Ueno on a hot July day, guided by my friend Naoki.

Into the inner courtyard, next to the main building, it was a little shady so I was able to take some photos. Here I am, photographed by Naoki, while I was taking the next photo.

At the time, this shrine was the most richly decorated I have seen and I was fascinated by the combination of colors. Several days after that, I visited the Toshougu Shrine from Nikko.
