Fire protection in the old Tokyo

Ever since the Edo period, solutions were investigated to increase buildings’ protection against fire. One of those solutions, developed at the beginning of the 20th century, was the shielding of the walls with copper plates.

Încă din perioada Edo s-au căutat soluţii pentru a creşte rezistenţa clădirilor la incendii. Una dintre aceste soluţii, aplicată la începul secolului al XX-lea, a fost placarea exterioară cu plăcuţe de cupru.
