Designed as a multi-functional complex, with every building different in shape and color, the Canal City Hakata was built along a 180 meter long water canal.
The concept is to attract people to come not only for shopping, but for the pleasure of hanging around a friendly place and to enjoy various events such as concerts, expositions, fountain shows and seasonal decoration.
