Harajuku Street Scene, Tama Depa

Fri, May 27, 2011, by Muza-chan

Strolling through Harajuku, right near the Takeshita Dori, I noticed these two stores belonging to a couple of very successful Japanese companies, well known not only in Japan but in the Western world too. One of them is the FANCL Harajuku, one of the most successful and largest cosmetic producers in Japan.

The other shop, Tama Depa, belongs to Bandai and was opened relatively recently, in 2008.
At Tama Depa you can find a large variety of the famous Tamagotchi products - they have even “Tamagotchi donuts".
It seems to me that the kawaii virtual pets and the fashion go hand in hand in the “fashion capital of the world". But then something is missing… Hello Kity should have been here too!
