Hello Kitty good luck charms, Hagoita

Sun, April 27, 2014, by Muza-chan

Among the “only in Japan” Hello Kitty items, probably the most specific possible are the traditional lucky charms. Photographed here are several hagoita, rectangular wooden paddles usually sold around the New Year as good luck charms. Of course, they are done as traditionally as possible, so Helo Kitty is dressed in kimono. Kawaii! (^_^)
