Osaka HEP Five Ferris wheel at night

Sun, August 28, 2011, by Muza-chan

The HEP Five mall from the Umeda district of Osaka (full name is Hankyu Entertainment Park Five), is a nice place to spend a shopping evening or to have some fun - there are over 100 stores with fashion and accessories, many restaurants and a lot of amusement facilities, where I spent some time learning some incredibly complicated arcade machines… The atmosphere inside is pleasant and romantic, with many, many young couples, dressed traditionally or in new fashion outfits.

But the main attraction here is the big Ferris wheel integrated with the building. This is the first integrated Ferris wheel in Japan - the lower part is actually located inside the building. The diameter of the wheel is 75 meters, but since it is placed inside the building, the highest point is at 106 meters and it offers a spectacular view over the center of Osaka.
