Established 1900 years ago, the Atsuta Jingu in Nagoya is the second most important shrine in Japan, after the Ise Jingu.
Similar to Ise Jingu, which preserves the mirror Yata-no-Kagami, one of the Three Sacred Treasures of Japan, Atsuta Jingu also preserves a sacred treasure, the sword Kusanagi-no-tsurugi.
