It is said that in order to be considered perfect, a Japanese garden must have 6 qualities: spaciousness, seclusion, artifice, antiquity, water-courses and panoramas. Of course, not many gardens are fulfilling all these requirements, so the one from Kanazawa, which has all the required attributes, was named Kenroku-en, “garden of six features".
