Simply beautiful Japanese scenes, the roofs of Kyoto in Gion

Many house areas in Japan are very beautiful seen from above, especially because of their kawara traditional ceramic roof tiles. I always enjoyed these panoramas and I feel that one of them deserves a place in my Simply beautiful Japanese scenes series of photos…

My favorite is this wide-angle photo taken at sunset, at the beginning of the “blue hour” in Gion, Kyoto. On the right side you can see the red bengara walls of the teahouses from the famous Hanami-koji street and in the center-left you can glimpse the needle-like shape on the Kyoto Tower…
