One of the most popular Japanese rice bowl dishes (donburi in Japanese) is gyūdon, a bowl of rice with beef and onion. Since many chain restaurants specialized in gyūdon are opened 24 hours, it is a very popular dish that can be enjoyed anytime. It is inexpensive, tasty and filling.
