In the Association of Shinto Shrines (Jinja Honchō) are inscribed more that 80,000 Shinto shrines, and among them about 3,000 are dedicated to Inari Ōkami, one of the most popular deities in Japan, kami of foxes, fertility, rice, tea, sake, agriculture and industry.
Photographed here is the Kobu Inari shrine in Akihabara, Tokyo, a picturesque small shrine in the middle of modern neighborhood.
