Kanzan sakura flower

There are more than 100 varieties of sakura in Japan, some of them so similar that only a specialist can flawlessly identify them. But among the easiest to remember is Kanzan, a variety that blossoms later than most others, for example in Tokyo it is in full bloom during mid to late April, when other cherry trees are long withered. Its intense pink flower has more than 30 petals…
