One of Tokyo’s attractions during this season is Kiku ningyo, a hundred years old art of making dolls from living chrysanthemums. Every year, at the beginning of November, a Kiku ningyo exposition takes place at the Yushima Tenjin in Ueno.
Many dolls are representing characters from the old history of Japan, usually related to the current historical TV series. In this photo you can see the dolls made to personify the main characters from the taiga drama Hana Moyu.
