Yosakoi dance festival

Performed for the first time in Kochi, 61 years ago, the Yosakoi dance is a modern take on the traditional Awa Odori dance.

Bringing energy and joy, the dance spread throughout Japan and overseas, and now there are Yosakoi teams in Asia, USA and even in Europe. More than 100 teams danced these days in Odaiba, Tokyo, at the Dream Yosakoi festival, a typical Japanese dance festival, filled with color, excitement and music…
